URJ Training Center Statement on Professor Ururahy’s departure

As many of our students and families may have heard, Professor Ururahy has decided to step away from his role at URJ Training Center to pursue new opportunities.
We appreciate Professor Ururahy’s contributions and the dedication he’s shown in bringing, shaping, and advancing the art of Brazilian jiu jitsu to the community of Yakima. His expertise, dedication, and passion for the art have touched numerous students, instilling discipline, resilience, and a deep respect for the tradition. His commitment to teaching Brazilian jiu jitsu has left a lasting impact, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
As we move forward, our commitment to bringing the art and sport of Brazilian jiu jitsu to our own students and families as well as the greater Yakima community remains unwavering as does our pursuit of excellence, hard work, and resilience.
As always, we strive to create an environment where all are welcomed, challenged and empowered to better themselves every day.
There will necessarily be changes on the horizon, but we are committed to seamlessly providing the same high-quality experience you have become accustomed to. We are optimistic about the future and look forward to continuing to serve our community with passion and excellence.
As with any transition of this nature, speculation and rumors may arise. We encourage open dialogue and transparency, so if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me directly. I am committed to providing honest and thoughtful answers to the best of my ability.
There will be no changes to the current schedule of classes as posted.
Thank you for your continued support. We hope to see you on the mats! OSS!
