Today we had the privilege to host our first class of students from the YPD Explorers Program.

This group of amazing young men and women are working side-by-side with @yakpd Police Officers to gain firsthand knowledge of the field.
They undergo a rigorous application process and are able to provide many services to the community alongside on-duty officers. This program provides them a direct pathway to entering the field of law enforcement as a career.
We thank you for the job you do every day and for the opportunity to provide ongoing training.
